DIY newborn portraits
We're currently living in the most uncertain times that any of us have ever had to experience. One thing that remains the same however, is that babies are still being born everyday!
I have had numerous newborn sessions booked which, for obvious reasons, have had to be postponed or cancelled. I know how important it is that my tiny little clients are safe and healthy but my heart still hurts that parents won't have those special photographs to treasure forever. So I got my thinking cap on and came up with these little diy baby portraits!
So what does this mean?
Well in a nutshell it's basically a case of - You take the picture, I make it magical for you.
So how does it work?
I have prepared a little video which I will send out to you. This has some hints and tips for getting the best from your photographs at home. This includes, posing, lighting and even where to hold your phone or camera. Once you've got some pictures that you are happy with, you can email them over to me and i'll photoshop them into a couple of different pre-approved backdrop designs. Your little kit will also contain a file with various backdrop options to choose from. You just let me know which ones are your favourite and i'll see which ones work best with your images.
All you need to create the perfect picture is a little white vest or baby grow, a white blanket or towel or even a black blanket or towel if you prefer the darker images (You'll find out more about this on your little video if you decide to purchase)
One tip I'd offer is - if you choose to have baby in a baby grow, please ensure that it fits well! You'll want to see where their little hands and feet end!!
There are essentially two types of images and your babies age will essentially dictate which type of image will work best for you. Babies under 4 weeks can be a bit more squishy and curly and therefore can be posed a little easier for the round fluffy type of images. Older babies are less reluctant to keep those little arms and legs in tight so id recommend a more natural lay flat image for you. In all honestly these are my favourite type of image for these portraits.
The diy newborn portrait kit costs just £20 and includes your first digital image. Should you wish to purchase any additional images the cost for each one is just £10!
You can pay for the kit with either PayPal or bank transfer, whichever is easiest for you. Payments must be made before the kit is sent out.
So what are you waiting for??
Email me for your little kit today.
(Special thanks to baby Joey for being my little model for these images)
