5 things to do before your baby arrives
The last trimester of pregnancy is so exciting as you eagerly prepare for your little one's arrival. But it can be equally stressful! There's countless appointments, there's decorating baby's nursery, there's shopping for baby grows and all those little things baby needs. Oh and don't forget to pack that hospital bag!!
So in the midst of all this planning and stressing, why not take some time out and try some of these fun things to do!!
Plan a Date night!
Why not plan a date night with your partner! How about dinner and some cocktails!! There are an abundance of cool and funky cocktail bars in Glasgow. You can check out All Bar One who have dinner and cocktail deals every now and then!!
Hire a professional cleaner
Nesting is a real thing!!! We all want to bring our babies home to a sparkling clean house but who has the time or the energy for that when you're ready to pop! Lots of cleaning companies offer a one off deep clean of your whole house so everything will be shiny and new for that shiny and new little baby! (And lets face it, theres likely to be a constant stream of visitors so you'll want the house looking its best too and once that little one comes you'll want to spend any spare time sleeping or staring at that little bundle of joy and certainly NOT wasting time doing silly things like cleaning!!)
Just sit back, relax and enjoy someone else doing the jobs you know you hate doing!!
Book a massage
A pregnancy massage will help you relax and enjoy a little bit of tranquility before your little one makes their grand entrance. Remember some oils are not safe to use in pregnancy so be sure to book a pregnancy specific massage. Pregnancy massages are tailored to address your specific needs and focus on areas such as backaches, swollen feet, and tense muscles. Indulging in a pregnancy massage with your partner can also be a wonderful bonding experience, as you both unwind and enjoy the benefits of relaxation together. Check Groupon or Wowcher as there are usually some really good deals out there! (We definitely want to be counting the pennies before maternity leave kicks in!)

Have a slumber party with your besties
Colour parties are extremely popular just now! Each person is allocated a colour and they must bring a tray full of snacks/drinks etc based on that colour! (Remember to keep it to non-alcoholic drinks though....no one wants to watch their friends get drunk when you can't! So for example if you get allocated green, you could bring sprite, sour cream and onion Pringles, mint matchmakers and so on!
Grab your comfiest jammies and pillows and get comfy with a movie and enjoy all those snacks that everyone's brought along! Bliss!!
Have a maternity photoshoot!
One of the biggest regrets in life is not having a single image of any of my bumps! NOT ONE! I hated being pregnant! I was sick from day one and certainly never felt that glowing beautiful confident way that lots of women do! But thats exactly the point. You ARE beautiful! Growing a whole human is the most beautiful thing in the world and we should all embrace it! So I want you to have the opportunity to look back on this amazing part of your journey and remember how incredible your body actually is.
Come along to my studio in Glasgow and I'll make you feel as beautiful as you truly are! lets immortalise those memories forever!! A Maternity mini session costs just £149 and includes 3 digital images. If the budget doesn't spread to hiring a professional, grab your partner's smartphone and explore your artistic side. Find a picturesque location or create a cosy setup at home, incorporating props and outfits that represent your unique style. Make the photoshoot even more enjoyable by involving your partner, family, or pets. These images will serve as cherished mementos of your journey into motherhood and can be shared with your child in the years to come.
